If you run a wordpress site, then you need to have a process in place to back that site up on a regular basis. The primary reason is when you perform updates to plugins and wordpress itself it is highly recommended to have a complete backup. WordPress is criticized due to the frequent security issues that arise, so updating on a regular basis is probably a good idea. For a full backup there are a few areas that need to be backed up. The two main categories are 1. The files and 2. The database.
